I am looking for highly motivated students and postdocs to join our group to work on statistical and computational problems related to molecular biology, genetics and medicine. Strength in computer science, statistics, engineering or math is a requirement. Take a look at our Research and Publications to get an idea of what problems we are thinking about, see the notes below and send an email to email@example.com if you’re interested!
Graduate students must be admitted into a graduate program first before they are able to join the lab. I can accept students from the Biostatistics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering and Integrative Genetics and Genomics (IGG) graduate groups. If you’re already a student, send me an email and we’ll set up a time to meet. Otherwise, let me know you’ve applied to one of these programs and send me your application materials.
Funding is available for postdocs to join my lab. Send your CV, a brief (<1 page) statement describing your research interests and how they align with our lab, and contact information for two references.
Enthusiastic undergraduates are encouraged to apply. Send Gerald an email briefly outlining your background and motivation for considering research in my lab, as well as your resume or CV and undergraduate transcripts. Also take a look at the UC Davis Undergraduate Research Center page to see if you are eligible for one of the funding programs available to undergrads.
